New US scrap grades prices to be published by HARBOR

US SCRAP PRICING ALERT.

HARBOR expands US scrap pricing.

HARBOR Aluminum is adding litho, thermal Extrusions, and aluminum copper radiators. US Litho prices appear to be scattered across the pricing spectrum depending on location. Pricing has been reported as low as 57 cent/lb. in the Midwest and as high as 80 cent/lb. in the South. Scrapyards have felt more comfortable holding onto full loads of Litho until pricing becomes more stable. Thermal Extrusion is a difficult grade for scrapyards to move with not many buyers in the market. A few homes are paying between 56 and 59 cent/lb. delivered to the US South.

Copper Comex spike gave aluminum copper radiators a price hike. ACR’s (aluminum copper radiators) moved up from lows of $1.26 to a high of $1.32 for March delivery in the US Midwest as copper Comex climbed throughout the week.
