MW Duty-Paid premium firms up to 17.65–18.05 cent/lb. MW duty-paid premiums firmed up today in a context of LME prices climbing to the upper end of their recent trading range (impacting the duty component of the MW premium) and supportive LME spreads in recent weeks making cash-and-carry trades more profitable. HARBOR’s US MW P1020 Ingot Duty-Paid Consumer- Supplier Spot Transaction Premium firmed up today to 17.65–18.05 cent/lb (which equates to MW journalistic references minus 1.60– to minus 1.20 cent/lb), up from a previous 16.80–17.78 cent/lb.
