Aluminum foundry demand deteriorates further

We are hearing from multiple sources that two more casting makers in the Bajio region are reducing their monthly requirements of secondary foundry ingot by more than 1,000 mton combined. This adds to the car-maker that we reported yesterday reducing its intake in the same regional hub. This development is already hitting secondary smelters and will affect secondary scrap demand as well.
