Extrusion production still down 50% at Hydro’s Building Systems unit; other extrusions units running at 80%–85%

Extrusion production at the Building Systems unit recovered to 40%–50% from 20% yesterday, the company stated in its latest update. Expectations for this business unit, which reported external shipments in 2018 of 77 kmton, are “to continue gradually ramping up production and shipments during the week”. The other Extruded Solutions business units recovered to an 80%–85% average production rate, from 70%–80% yesterday.
