APEX bill gains further traction as four additional lawmakers join as cosponsors

APEX Act gaining traction in Congress: Four representatives joined to cosponsor the legislation yesterday. In total, five Representatives are cosponsoring the legislation, including the original cosponsor Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO). Lawmakers behind re-introduction of APEX bill have mentioned the CFTC could help avoid monopoly pricing, potential deceptive prices, and bad actors. On March 15, the bill was referred to the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy, and Credit.
