Buildups in Asian LME warehouses re- emerge amid backwardation risks

 

LME warehouses across Singapore and Port Klang (Malaysia) experienced inflows totaling 10,700 and 1,000 mton respectively. Metal deliveries ahead of third- Wednesday prompt dates have now become a recurrent feature of the aluminum market, as holders of expiring off-warrant positions weigh the risks of potentially sharp backwardations.
